The aim of this club shall be to promote and encourage amateur photography of subjects and events in and of nature; through cooperation, effort, and good fellowship; to give challenge to and promote progressive development of the membership in the field of nature photography; to encourage good sportsmanship through comparison and constructive criticism; when called upon, to act as the photographic arm of The Wilderness Center, Inc.
Any person interested in photography may become a member of this club providing he/she is a member of The Wilderness Center, Inc. Even if you are not a member of The Wilderness Center, Inc., you are welcome to attend our meetings.

Program: Presentation titled "Year on the Wing"
Using the Cuyahoga Valley National Park as a home base, Jim Roetzel will take you through a year of bird photography. Jim will discuss photographing birds at home and where to go should you have opportunities to travel. Jim will share location tips, travel trips, a little bit about gear and image handling, and of course, tips to improve your bird photography. Some tips are site specific, but most can be used regardless of your shooting location..
Jim Roetzel is an Ohio native who has lived in the Summit County area his entire life. Growing up near the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, he was inspired by his family’s love of the outdoors and learned to see and appreciate nature through his father’s eyes: “My dad had a hunter’s eye and botanist’s love of nature, and he most enjoyed sharing the things he loved with us.”
Jim has photographed all over the United States and Canada, following nature’s rhythms, migrations, and seasons. His work regularly appears in many national and local publications.
Jim is also an avid photography teacher, leading workshop and tours for 20+ years, covering a wide range of subjects from macro to lighting, leading tours from Alaska to Florida.

Annual Nature Photo Club Membership:
Your Nature Photo Club Membership runs from January through December. We will start collecting the 2019 dues in December. The dues are $5.00 for individual membership and $7.00 for a family membership. If paying by check, please make them out to TWC Nature Photo Club.
Just a reminder, your membership with the Wilderness Center must also be up to date.
We will need your TWC Membership number and renewal date.
